It’s My Darlin blogger Dana stopped by to visit Leo at Blackbird last week; she made her way upstairs to Birgitta for the first time and here is what she had to say:

Blackbird’s Kristeen Lehn is the lady behind the women’s store and she does her job well. I found myself drooling over gorgeous trousers, coats, Lipstick Queen coral lipstain, and French brand Bensimon canvas sneakers.”

Suzanne Stefan is an architect and sculptor who lives and works in Bainbridge Island, Washington. She received a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and attended the masters program at L’Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio, Switzerland. Suzanne was raised in the United States, India, and Belgium. She has traveled extensively and her visits to remote, austere landscapes in East Africa, Asia, and Europe have been inspirational to her sculptural and architectural work. In 2008, she opened her first solo show at Royal Gallery in Phoenix, Arizona. Most recently, her sculptural work was exhibited in Seattle’s International District for the first Annual Art Walk. Current works continue her investigation of folding light and shadow.

This Sunday, September 6th, at 1pm, Blackbird will host live performances from Ty Segall and The Beets inBergen Park in Ballard.
